Outeach PhotoGive your students a new educational experience…a little bit of the past! Why settle for the same old classroom curriculum, when our interactive and experiential programming can be such an interesting surprise!

Throughout each year, Once Upon A Nation's (OUAN) troupe of actors whisks visitors back to the 18th century with their lively (and historically accurate!) performances. Academically-researched historical storytelling and colonial re-enactment throughout the historic district focused on the people, places, and events of 17th, 18th, 19th and 20th century Philadelphia. Now the OUAN Players are available to educate, entertain and charm your students all year long…..right back to 1776!

Trained in the speech, manners and history of colonial America, these professional actors perform in richly detailed, authentic costumes that represent the trades, occupations and culture of over 200 years ago. Our casts of characters appear in full costume to lend a visual and interactive element to your classroom to enhance and enliven your current curriculum. Programming is available for one period (45 min) a half-day or full-day.
